This division is subject to the general rules of the
Henderson County Livestock Show. All weanlings eligible to show must be the property of the exhibitor, on feed, and under the daily care of the exhibitor by Validation Day. Each exhibitor can qualify two (2) animals, but can only show one of each sex. Example: Exhibitor can qualify a filly and a gelding and show both, one in each class, but if the exhibitor qualifies two (2) fillies or (two) 2 geldings, they can only show on of each sex. At time of validation, The Henderson County Horse Committee will take a picture of the exhibitor and their project. Validation will be in October at a designated place and time set bye the Livestock Show Board EXHIBITOR(S) MUST BE PRESENT. All weanlings must be foaled between January 1 and June 30 year of validation and be registered ina RECOGNIZED BREED ASSOCIATION. Must be a filly or gelding. NO STALLION WILL BE ALLOWED! All exhibitors must turn in a COPY of registration papers or breeder's certification at the time of qualification on validation day. ALL EXHIBITORS must have a CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST at the time of arrival to the show on (SHOW DATE). NO EXCEPTIONS. The Henderson County Horse Committee will conduct several informative seminars during the fall/winter months. These seminars will include: feed/nutrition, grooming/hoofcare, showmanship, and many other tips and valuable information. IT WILL BE MANDATORY TO ATTEND AT LEAST TWO (2) OF THESE SEMINARS. ANY EXHIBITOR NOT ATTENDING AT LEAST TWO (20 OF THESE SEMINARS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHOW THEIR ENTRY. NO EXCEPTIONS! Parents or any other adults will not be allowed to assist Exhibitors during judging. NUMBER OF BANNERS SOLD: The exact number of banners sold will be determined by the number of
entries shown. ALL ENTRIES SHALL BE SALE ENTRIES Order of Events: (subject to change)
The Henderson County Horse Committee will present a $500 check to the Grand Champion and a $250 check to the Reserve Grand Champion at the time of the Henderson County Livestock Show Auction on the Saturday after the show. There will be a HENDERSON COUNTY BRED AWARD to entries selling banners of horses born in Henderson County. A $150 check will be given to Yearling Project entries sold at the Henderson County Livestock Show Auction on the Saturday after the show. (Rev. 3/07) |
